Frederick Warde the distinguished star will open Lynden high school's Lyceum Course Tuesday evening with Fifty Years of Make Believe a vivid account of his stage life. Lynden Firemen Social Promises Fun Friday Evening

Lynden's volunteer firemen host a jolly old-fashioned basket social at Hawley's Hall Friday night inviting the district. Baskets donated by ladies will be auctioned to raise funds for the fire department treasury with Col. Vander Griend or Col. Bauman acting as auctioneer. A committee plans an entertaining program and a large crowd is expected.

Mrs Gertrude Hendrix Dies at Greenwood Age 65

Mrs Gertrude Hendrix died Friday at her Greenwood home aged 65 years 2 months and 7 days. The body was sent to Seattle for funeral services held Monday. Survived by husband Henry Hendrix and eight children including Styger Seattle Lewis Idaho Frank Algie Leonard Louise Josephine and another son in Tacoma and a daughter in Detroit Michigan.

Ernest Otto Freiberg Passes Away Near Lynden

Ernest Otto Freiberg, 44, died Saturday at his home east of Lynden. Funeral services were held at Knapp's Parlors Wednesday afternoon with a large gathering. Born in Sweden, he married Lena Anderson before emigrating to America. He lived in Seattle before moving to the Lynden district three years ago. Survived by his widow and two sons.

Lynden People to Attend Sunday School Convention

An all county Sunday school conference will be held at the Ferndale Congregational Church on Friday December 2 under the Western Washington Sunday School Association. Lynden voters head to polls Saturday for municipal port and school contests. Elected officials include E. Edson for mayor and J. T. Zylstra for treasurer with a single city ticket. W. H. Little Gordon Chisholm Dies at Home at Four

Gordon Sutherland, four years nine months old and son of Mr and Mrs Amos Chisholm, died Wednesday morning at six o clock at the family home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the home with Rev B K McElmon of Bellingham, great uncle of the deceased, officiating. Interment will be at Ten Mile Cemetery.

Improvements occur at the Washington Cooperative Egg and Poultry Association with a new office added and the former space remodeled. A more efficient lighting plan has been arranged to modernize the facilities.

Mrs A J De Young and children visiting the Tys Haveman family in Lynden plan to return to Ripon California today. Miss Bertha Haveman will winter with them. A Simonds family, formerly from Sunrise district, moves to Lynden and will reside on West Front St. John Hovinga and family move from Yakima to Lynden and occupy the Al Te Selle house. R C Hawley of the Washington Co operative Egg and Poultry Association was in Lynden on business. Mr B Benson plans to settle in California. A daughter was born to Mr and Mrs M A Leen on the evening of the 27th. John Logtenberg moves from 211 Twelfth St to 13th and Liberty.
