Firefighters could do little to prevent total destruction. all furniture was saved along with doors and windows. Mrs Augusta Sass Rites Held At Knapp Parlors
Friends gathered Friday afternoon at Knapp Funeral Parlors for the services of Mrs Augusta Sass who died Sunday morning April 3. The Rev W O Benadom officiated. Augusta Louise Dohr was born August 28 1865 in Middleton Wisconsin. She married Herman Sass on November 13 1872 and had two children. The couple moved to Lake Benton Pipestone County in 1878 then Holland in 1904 and Lynden in 1912. She leaves two daughters Mrs Sara Kavanagh Pontiex Sask and Mrs Rozetta Serrurier Lynden, three grandchildren, a sister and six brothers in the Middle West.
