Festival Brings $40 to Aid Society
In REESOIL Michigan on October 18 the autumn festival by the Ladies Aid at the Episcopal church raised over $40 for the church treasury. Festive decorations of autumn leaves and dahlias adorned the social rooms. Supper served from 5:30 featured chicken, potatoes, beans, sandwiches, cake, jelly, cheese, pickles, and coffee. The evening program included solos, recitations, duets, and dances.

Six coal cars derailed while the freight train moved onto a side track at Custer Sunday evening about 280. The accident caused no injuries and minimal damage with the track torn up. two crossings were blocked about an hour until Baldwin engine aid reached the stranded train.
