A large audience heard Rev. Thomas W. H. Marshall deliver the baccalaureate sermon for Custer graduates with seniors and eighth graders processed in pink and white. May 14 will feature the seniors’ graduation with speaker Franklin Pierce and the Oriole quintet providing music. The eighth grade will hear George Griswold speak May 16. Mothers Day programs were held by the Blue Apron club and Congregational Sunday school, with readings, songs, and a three course lunch. Other items include community visits, a Reader family gathering for George Burton of Chicago, and school notes noting May pole festivities and upcoming picnics.
