County officials warned state licenses required and pledged a model operation while acknowledging mounting opposition. Four Vehicle Mishaps Reported In Ludington Area
Four separate collisions and a parking lot incident were logged by local authorities Monday in Ludington and surrounding roads. Incidents include a South Lake Shore Drive pass and crash injuring two drivers, a Hesslund Meyers Roads crash, a Gaylord Fitch intersection collision, and a library parking lot backing incident. Rites Set For Miss Johnson 85 Dies in Ludington
Miss Ida Johnson 85 of 229 N Jebavy Drive died at 2 15 p m Monday at Memorial Hospital of Mason County after a one day illness. Born June 29 1885 in Ossining NY she lived most of life in Detroit before moving to Ludington 18 years ago. She worked as a housekeeper in Detroit and was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. Surviving are brother Hilding Ludington sisters Mrs Anna Lasher Detroit and Mrs Minnie Arndt Ludington plus nieces and nephews Funeral services will be 1 30 p m Thursday at Rye Funeral Home.
