Cat Reunites With Hidden Owner After Ferry Scare
In a Miami Herald item a cat valued at $2000 vanished on a car ferry just before sailing. After frantic searches aboard the ship and a couple of days, a crewman heard a hiss and found the cat hiding. The owner remained unnamed and unlisted amid the excitement as the company sought to locate her.
Card Party at Ludington Townsend Club Held Monday
A Ludington Townsend club event hosted a card party at the club headquarters with six pinochle tables. Prizes went to Mrs. Albert Boertman and Oscar Peterson for high and to Mrs. Agnes Leon ard and Jacob Polcin for second. Mrs. Hed evig Trecloff won a special prize. A strawberry shortcake serving was announced after the upcoming business meeting at the club.

Council Plans Summer Activities for Ludington Girls
Ludington Girl Scout council members met at Miss Evelyn Carlson’s home to discuss summer plans. They approved a 1350 dollar budget to be presented to the Ludington Community Chest, discussed camp plans, and noted a 25 dollar gift from Michigan Epsilon Pi chapter Beta Sigma Phi for camperships. Helen Keller day will be observed on June 24. The organization committee set August 13 for a meeting. The next gathering is July 23 at Mrs. Pleiss’s home on North Lake Shore Drive.
