Recottvile California No 357 held an evening meeting presided by new matron Mrs Rose Stowell. Special installation of officers followed with Mrs Harriet Meads as instaling matron and Mrs Carol Gordon as instaling marshal. The Hazards active members missed. A farewell gift and greeting note were sent to Miss Linda Bahr bound for Europe. Musical program followed with Vera Buck Angerette Martin duets and violin solos. Fern Mich June 18 Thomas J Sippy 12 son of Mrs Mabel Sippy prominent summer resident died in rural Mason County after riding a motorcycle with Bert Sippy and friend Hugh Riddell of Chicago. Thomas stopped for Bert near Casnovia and was struck by a passing auto. Mrs Sippy was traveling in the east to place him in autumn schooling. The Sippy family arrived 12 years ago after Dr B W Sippy bought large tracts nearby. Sympathy to the family.

Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Anna Lother in Grant Township
Funeral services were held for Anna Brush Lother at her Grant township home and Guardian Angel church Manistee with interment at Mount Carmel cemetery. She died eight weeks after her husband Charles Lother, who passed away April 18 1930. Surviving are daughter Isabelle and son Arnold and several siblings. Born February 13 1880 in Austria, she came to America at age two and married Charles Lother August 5 1903 in Pelston. The couple moved to Mason County in 190? and had seven children, five of whom preceded her in death.
