Ludington State Bank celebrated the remodel of the Eastgate Branch with a three day open house from June 1 to 3. Seventy six visitors drew keys to open a chest with prizes and 76 were invited back on June 10 for a chance at a color TV won by Eva Fergison of route 3 Ludington. A penny guessing contest entertained children under 14 won by Wendy Sue Comstock of 402 Ei Foster St. Branch Manager Ray Rennes presented prizes.

Roberta Bud reau Kubiak received a 25 year service award from General Telephone Co. She began as a Ludington operator on May 21, 1952 and became a service representative in the Ludington office on Aug. 2, 1959. On March 5, 1967 she moved to the central office on N Rowe Street as service and assignment clerk, her current post. The couple resides at 710 North Rowe Street.
