Osborne Palmeter annual reunion at Orchard Beach
The Osborne Palmeter reunion gathered over 200 people from Ludington Scottville Victory Freesoil Milwaukee Manitou Traverse City Muskegon South Haven Bangor Saginaw. A basket dinner followed an impromptu program of songs speeches and music. Joseph Adams of Muskegon elected president and Mary La Sarge secretary. Four Osborne sisters and four Gurnsey brothers attended plus many relatives. other local activities included Pinochle club meetings and a theater party at Manistee.

Mrs Sarah Snell and son Joseph of Greenville visited over the weekend at the W B Reader house. Mrs Stell will leave early next week for Wisconsin to visit her daughter. Ester J Hanna motored to Hatt Saturday evening and returned Sunday. Mr and Mrs George Erickson and three children of Muskegon arrived Saturday due to Mr Erickson's mother being seriously ill. Mrs Andrew Erickson remains in poor health. Mrs Joe Varette and Mrs La Cormany of Midland came week to repair the Joe Varette farm house. Mr and Mrs Charles Kopplow formerly of Muskegon now a resident of Custer. Mr and Mrs Peter R Howard of Ludington were visitors at Dominic Howard's home Sunday. Mr and Mrs Ivan Branz are moving to Howard City where Mr Frang will supervise at Ben Byunket Warehouse.

Major school district students pass state exams
All seventh and eighth grade pupils at Major school achieved good averages on the state examinations. Althea Gray, sole eighth grader, received her diploma at Community Hall in Scottville on Saturday, June 7. Seventh graders named Beatrice Morrison Josephine Q Farrel Audrey Peterson and John Gmbutis. Sylvia Peterson and Isabelle Casper, previously at Scottville and Ludington high schools, returned home.
