Summit Michigan June 13 Dr Mary Anderson federal agent demonstrated cottage cheese making at the home of Mia Alice Witchcock Titer day afternoon. About twenty ladies were present to receive instruction. Two methods for cottage cheese making were shown. Method 1 uses fresh milk with vinegar and heat, draining and pressing. Method 2 uses sour milk with calcium tablets, warming, and draining through cloth. Cheese yields, diet notes, and price trends discussed. Local attendees included Miss Tou Butler and others. community members pledged to live healthier with dairy, with remarks on milk supply and cattle prices.
