Mother and Daughter Banquet Held by Ludington Rebekahs
About 150 attendees gathered Friday at the Ludington lodge 0.87 Rebekahs hall for a Mother and Daughter Banquet. The evening featured Doxology, community singing, solos and taps, and a plentiful dinner served by husbands of Rebekah members. Prizes honored the oldest member, the mother with the most daughters, the youngest mother, the youngest daughter, the farthest attendee, tallest child under 12, and the shortest attendee over 20, with songs and piano duets interspersed throughout.

Miss Dagny E Hansen piano teacher hosts a public recital at Emanuel Lutheran church on Tuesday June 11 at 7 30 pm. The program includes piano solos a double duet trios one two piano piece and an organ piano duet. The Emanuel Lutheran church choir performs an anthem with violin and clarinet pieces. No admission charge but a free will offering will be received.

St. Simon's High School held an honor assembly closing 1940 with platinum cups for top honor roll students Miss Margaret Duplessis Richard Kennedy Kathryn Keating and Louis Castonia.
