Accidents in Ludington Involve Two Vehicles
Ludington police reported two two car accidents on Monday. At 12 18 p m in the 100 block of South Bath Avenue Sandra Denimon struck a parked car owned by Franklin and Beatrice Wagoner causing minor damage to both cars No tickets were issued. At 3 50 p m in the 100 block of West Ludington Avenue Walter Pleiss struck a parked car owned by Raymond Short while attempting to pull from a parking space causing considerable damage to the Pleiss vehicle.

Medicare Premium To Rise July First
The basic monthly premium for Medicare medical insurance will increase from 5.60 to 5.80 starting July 1. Stanley R. Ostler, Social Security district manager in Muskegon, cites savings from Medicare administration and lower expected medical costs due to Price Commission limits on physician fees as reasons for the 20 cent rise. He notes about 20 million people 65 and over are enrolled and that the program paid 2 billion in benefits in fiscal 1971.

Historical Society To Seek Millage Support
Mason County Historical Society president Edward C. Larsen urged voters to approve a six year levy of one tenth of a mill on Aug. 8 to fund preservation projects. The levy would raise about 14 300 dollars yearly, raising funds for Pioneer Village improvements Rose Hawley Museum renovations and display space expansion for local history archives. Larsen argued the millage is a small yearly cost that safeguards heritage for today and future generations.
