Seven Hurt In Mishaps In Mason County Weekend
Over the weekend seven people were injured in various accidents around Mason County. Bruce Claveau 23 and Peggy Claveau 17 suffered minor injuries when a motorcycle tipped at East Foster Street. At U S 10 31 intersection two car drivers Jon Aberegg 18 and Clyde Williams 64 received minor injuries. Thomas Kring 21 and Richard Reese Jr 25 of Montague were treated after diving into a ditch during a passing attempt on U S 31. A Saginaw rider 18 Robert Randie was treated after a motorcycle crash near Fountain Road. Barbara Hichman and Gerald Hoffman were in a separate crash at East Ludington Avenue and Nelson Road with minor damage and a corrective lens ticket for Eschman.

Albion College student earns state acclaim and ties to leadership
Richard Simonson of Albion College, son of Mason County educator Jean I. Brown, was named the youngest Albion College Board of Trustees member after earning a bachelor’s in political science. He led Project 250 raising 276,824 for scholarships, with dinners and grants, while maintaining good grades. He will serve at the State Capitol as Administrative Assistant to State Senator Donald E. Bishop and appears in Who's Who lists.
