Members of the Auxiliary unit of Leveaux post No 2409 Veterans of Foreign Wars voted to give 10 dollars to Veterans Facility in Grand Rapids during a Monday evening meeting at Veterans hall. Mrs Andrew Tuinstra announced Mrs Nia Lessard is a patient at St Marys hospital in Rochester Minn. Next meeting set for June 16 with election of delegates to National encampment.

Plans have been completed for the annual St Simon's Alumni Association banquet to be held at 6 30 p m Monday June 9 in St Simon's school auditorium. Picnic at Resseguie Ends School Term

12 000 Tons of Stone Brought to Plant
The lower laker Adam Cornelius brought a load of stone to Dow Chemical Co. plant here this weekend. Twelve thousand tons of stone were unloaded for the plant. The large size of eggs of birds and some reptiles stems from them acting as storage containers for embryos before development.
