Genwng, also seventeenth, then to Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Smedberg for eleventh. Pyrex gifts, ice cream, and cake accompanied socializing at each stop.

Four persons were killed in Oakland County during the weekend with one unidentified individual believed drowned. Drownings and accidents accounted for most police reports.
Miss Geneva Kieth and Harley Miller wed at Grand Rapids parsonage with Agnes Miller and John Kieth as attendees. A second ceremony joined Brooks and Harjes at the Christensen home, with Mrs Harjes continuing the family business. Edward Gute and Marian Van Dyne married at the bride’s home, planning a brick wedding trip before settling on East State Street. Scottville welcomes the newlyweds and notes Gute’s role as local agriculture teacher and Boy Scout leader.
Mrs Ensign Weller and Mrs Regina Taylor with daughters Lottie and Ference spent the weekend with Mrs Harold Colby in River ton. Don and Ivors McFarland returned from Owosso. Mr and Mrs Shirley Myers of Ludington visited the James McElroy home. The Methodist Episcopal Aid society plans a Wednesday afternoon meeting at the church social rooms. Blanche McElroy enjoys a vacation from the Penny store in Lud. A Fourth of July gathering at Starlake included the Kilpat ricks Mugford Kilpatrick Kilpatrick Engle Mc Elroy Flickenger Blundell and Owosco Mariey group.
July Te-An a collie was rescued by Detroit police after seven days imprisoned beneath a dock deck. The dog swam from Windsor across the Detroit River and endured cries before officers tore up planks to free it.
