Crash Kills City Man
A Lubbock businessman with a dual engine pilot license died when his Piper Comanche crashed seven miles northwest of Enver City during a predawn thunderstorm. Hubert Wilhite Jr. 36 of Lubbock, carried large sums of cash and was returning from Albuquerque to New Mexico before the fatal crash. Federal agents ordered the body moved to Lubbock for autopsy and services are pending.
