Five Die in Laredo House Fire Smoke Inhalation
Five people died of smoke inhalation in a dawn fire in Laredo Texas Captain Mike Perez Jr said the victims had no burns. The blaze may have started from a cigarette. Surviving Raquel Garza escaped with minor injuries. The dead include Aseneth Martinez 23 her sons Juan Martinez 5 Alfredo Martinez 24 George Garza 4 and an unidentified woman.

Runway Work Looms At Lubbock Regional Airport
A consulting engineer from Parrill Smith and Cooper says one of Lubbock Regional Airport's two runways will need strengthening or be shut within 18 months.
