Home gardeners face jar shortages amid high food costs. Retailers report little to no glass canning jars available in Lubbock. Bennie Bennett of United Super Market notes repeated wholesale outdates and Elmer Stalnaker of Gibson's Discount Center says jars sold 4,000 cases this season, with a shipment of 1,500 cases bought and sold in one day.
