Boyd Webb of Tucumcari threatened two women in the Cook's Discount Center parking lot in Clovis before opening fire with a 12 gauge shotgun. Deputies Nelson Worley and R B Boney tried to talk him down as about 25 witnesses watched. Dr James Moss, coroner, ruled death by own action.
