County Man Victim Of Two-Car Crash

A 95-year-old Lubbock County man Cecil Flynn was killed in a two car crash on US 87 near Lubbock. Victor McCarty 54 was seriously injured. Hart Frisbie 24 was hospitalized after the collision. The sports car owned by McCarty skidded and ripped open its fiberglass body in the high speed crash.

Peggie Goodman a 59 year old Seattle grandmother sat in a wheelchair outside the governor's window demanding a return of 12 percent welfare benefits cut. She receives 113 dollars monthly though eligible for 128 and has been on welfare about ten years. Hagler known as central figure in the “Mr X” murder case was jailed after trying to convert rolled coins to folding money. both men arrived from Los Angeles and were arrested after a casino security guard alerted police. Hagler previously acquitted in Oklahoma in a 1949 murder case.
