Sundown man killed crossing street after sun glare
An 80 year old Sundown Post Office worker, Sam Anderson, was fatally struck by a car at a stop sign near FM 301 and FM 300. Driver Bill Shelton, 26, of Whiteface, said sun glare blinded him as Anderson, partially blind and deaf, crossed the road. Anderson died at 8:30 p.m. after being carried about 25 to 30 feet on the car’s hood.
