Japanese Girls in Lubbock for International Living Program
Japanese students Teruko Kaneta and Akiko Matsuda visit Lubbock as part of the Experiment in International Living exchange. Hosts include the Shipleys and several local families. The pair, from Kawanishi City and Ashira, describe American kindness, enjoy western apparel and foods, and hope to return. They depart for San Francisco Thursday and plan to return to Japan by September 5.
