Beame Remains Without Johnson's Endorsement In Close NY Mayor's Race

Fort Worth man loses bid for new trial in wife murder case
A disabled Fort Worth war veteran Harold C. Hintz lost his appeal for a new trial in the murder of his wife on February 17, 1964. The Court of Criminal Appeals ruled the jury’s omission to designate the killing method immaterial since Hintz admitted killing. Prosecutors say Hintz stuffed her body under a bed and slept there for days before arrest. Also, Gene Lee O’Connor, twice-convicted burglar, is to be released after the court found two two-year terms should have been concurrent. The court did not issue an immediate ruling on a parade permit challenge by UT peace marchers. Italian production index fell sharply in August 1965 from August 1964.
