Allied commander in Manchuria barge under fire near Hulatao
Admiral Barbey's flagship off Hulatao reported Chinese Communist troops of the Fourth Army firing on a barge flying the U S flag. Bullets hit the hull but caused no casualties. the barge turned back to the flagship. The incident marked possible occupation activity near Hulatao, 83 miles north of the Great Wall.
