A 3 year old brother identified his 1 month old sister Stacy Lynn Smith at a Dallas foster home after a reunion Friday night. The siblings were left by their mother Karen Smith, a Santa Monica divorcee, on Oct. 7 and the girl was found wandering near Love Field. Santa Monica police traced the child after a newspaper photo, and said the mother had given the girl to a woman from Odessa, Texas who met her in Dallas.

Manila Bay Disaster Sinks Pioneer Leyte. 160 Rescued, 28 Dead
Collision between the Pioneer Leyte and the American freighter Golden State off Sangley Point in Manila Bay sank the Pioneer Leyte.
