Plains Farming Prices Decline On Cotton Crop
Prices for cotton fell in last week’s ginnings with buyers lowering bids on predominant qualities while growers held back stocks. Central Blacklands sales hovered around 400 to 450 points above loan levels as mill demand stayed weak and exports rose slowly. Domestic and foreign buyers showed limited interest though West Texas saw some export activity and CCC sold 7,100 bales of 1967 crop.

Movie age limits vary under local and state laws
A discussion notes that films rated as "little more adult" than the restricted category may have ages set between 16 and 18. Ratings would be publicized at theaters and in ads. It recalls the film industry voluntary code since 1930 and its recent rewrite broadening sexual content.
Navy steel plate defects sparks testing methods debate
Raymond G. Perelman of Penn Galvanizing Co claims Navy accepts defective steel plates under its own specs for submarine hulls, while Navy findings deny failures in Thresher and Scorpion cases. He cites 87 percent acceptability under current testing and notes Penn Galvanizing uses scanning testing versus Navy's older static method.
