Cleveland police say Joseph Giallanza 39 reported his father’s life savings of $18 000 kept in a locked dresser drawer inside a padlocked closet. The elder Giallanza died last July and the son said money was missing after someone broke both locks.
A Harris County Grand Jury returned a six count felony theft indictment against Pasadena Mayor James Brammer, alleging he stole 1165. This follows earlier indictments in September that named Brammer and five others for theft totaling 77789 and involved multiple city officials. Brammer posted 13500 bond and was unavailable for comment.
