Young Girl Killed and Man Hurt on 66th Street

A 16 year old girl Susan Bliss was killed and 18 year old Eddie Scoggins seriously injured in a traffic collision on 66th Street near 2300 block. Dorothy Nelson drove the pickup. Police reported both pedestrians wore dark clothing and were walking along the curb before the crash. Services for Miss Bliss were pending and the incident raised city traffic deaths to 29 for the year.
