Area Banker Is Indicted in Lubbock Embezzlement Case

Former Lockney First National Bank president Maury Wade Wiley faces four counts of embezzlement and two counts of making false bank records after a secret federal grand jury indictment in Amarillo. One Killed as Bracero Truck Rolls With 25 aboard East of O Donnell

A 52 year old Mexican national farm worker Leonardo Hernandez Zapata was killed when a ten and half ton truck carrying 25 workers overturned about 1 15 p m Saturday ten miles east of O Donnell. A slender Negro youth is being sought in two armed robberies in Lubbock near 6:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. A large silver pistol was used in both incidents. Marvin Olsen reports a $30 theft and taxi driver Ed Stark was robbed of about 3. The assailant disappeared between houses after the second holdup.
