New Tech Directors Are Named From Three Texas Cities
Gov. John Connally named three business leaders to the Texas Tech board of directors. Retha R. Martin of Lubbock, C. A. Cash of Amarillo, and Dr. Fladger F. Tannery of Dallas will serve until 1971, replacing three Dallas members. Dr. R. C. Goodwin, Tech president, welcomed the picks as fitting for the university amid a 16,000-student enrollment and a 15 million dollar classroom expansion funded by a constitutional amendment. The trio are expected to attend the Dec. 11 meeting.
