Car Burns Man Pulled From Wreck After Gas Tank Explodes
Lonnie Fowler a 55 year old Lubbock resident escaped serious injuries when his car’s gas tank exploded after a traffic crash at 19th Street and Flint Avenue. Fowler was unconscious and trapped briefly as the car burned. Ronald Louis Webb 16 and Patricia Ann Anthony 16 were injured in the other vehicle. An unidentified man pulled Fowler from the flaming car after it crashed into a yard. Police followed the scene as fire erupted, with witnesses noting a large fireball in the street. See FIERY Page 6.
