Fiery hijack clash ends with deaths in Mindanao
Philippine soldiers stormed a PAL jet in Zamboanga after a 48 hour hijack by Filipino Muslim rebels. Ten passengers and three hijackers were killed, 18 wounded, and three hijackers captured. The burned BAC 111 jet was a total loss with about 87 hostages aboard.
