Eichmann Aide Captured in Israel Premier Announces

Israeli Premier David Ben-Gurion announced Eichmann, a top aide of Heinrich Himmler, has been captured in Israel and will stand trial. Authorities said he was not extradited, with details withheld. City Judge William Kermickel Named Lubbock Corporation Court Judge

Lockney city judge William Parker Kermickel 53 will take over as Lubbock corporation court judge within two to three weeks after Mayor David Casey and four commissioners interviewed and appointed him. He will replace Judge Nat Heat who leaves Wednesday to begin familiarizing with operations. Kermickel is a 194 graduate. City on Page 16.

Bourbon Street Opens Legal Liquor Sales in Post

Post officers report Bourbon Street marked its first month of legal liquor sales with active commerce and few incidents. Fifteen minor stores, two beer taverns, and one drive in cafe operate with one tavern closed for Liquor Board standards.
