Pint Sized Cold War at Texas A and M Flare of Civilian Cadet Feud
Civilians and Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M clash in a pint sized cold war lasting a month. Water fights and fireworks caused dorm damage while a power and water cut flooded a civilian dorm. The Battalion called it an uncontrolled mob. Administration suspended 18 pre medical students for hazing and dismissed upperclassmen from the corps. President Rudder maintains dorms costs and 1967 air conditioned renovations limit changes.

21 Years Later Airman Receives DFC for WWII Heroic Save
Thoman C. Troxel, a former air force flight engineer now with an auto agency, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for actions aboard the B24 Going My Way on April 29 1945. He saved crew lives by freeing jammed bomb bay doors and restarting an engine, preventing a downward plunge toward the Pacific. Troxel, from Gallatin Missouri, was surprised by the overdue recognition as family attended the ceremony at McConnell Air Force Base near Wichita with James Shaw initiating the paperwork at a 20 year reunion.
