Maitland Jones Shot at Home in Lubbock

Allied forces on Okinawa repulsed a major night assault by Japanese troops in U A M as US Marines of the Sixth division fought along the Naha Shuri Yonabaru line. The 77th division pressed a dawn attack toward Shuri and crossed toward Taira Machi while Japanese anti tank efforts were repelled.
