Memorial Service Set For Floydada Soldier
A memorial service will honor Pfc. Stanford Norman Goen, 22, son of Mr and Mrs W S Goen of Floydada, at Wall Street Church of Christ Sunday at 3 p m. He was killed in action on April 10 after five months as a bow turret gunner on a medium tank. He is survived by his parents, his wife Margaret Hale of Floydada, and their five month old son Stanford Norman II. Elder John R Freeman of Lubbock will assist in officiating.
