Charles H. Smith Dies Saturday in Mississippi
Charles H. Smith, 50, court reporter for the 72nd district covering Lubbock Hockley Crosby and Cochran counties, died at Methodist Hospital in Hattiesburg Mississippi after illness on a train trip. He lived in Lubbock 28 years arriving in 1914 and served under Judges Spencer Mullican Pharr and Blair. He is survived by his mother Mrs Frances Smith and sister Mrs R S Williams along with his wife and children. Funeral arrangements were pending at Rix Funeral Home.
