Yanks Survive Amid Grim Chu Pong Mountain Fight

American forces of the 1st Air Cavalry, surrounded by a much larger North Vietnamese force, held a tight landing zone near Chu Pong Mountain. Air strikes and helicopters sprayed suppressive fire as troops endured sniper fire and hand to hand combat. Memphis Train Wreck Causes Big Cost and Delays
