Air Base Barbers Learn Afro hair Styling
Reese Air Force Base barbers returned to school for a brief session on Afro and natural styles for younger airmen. Jerry Starr of the Sheppard AFB Wichita Falls concession demonstrated trimming and grooming with volunteers as models. Air Force rules allow Afro style if it fits under headgear and does not extend past the front. The effort aims to address complaints from younger personnel and expand grooming items at base exchanges. Future plans include Afro care training for female personnel and dependents.
