Deadly BOAC 707 Crash Near Mount Fuji Kills Many

A BOAC Boeing 707 with 124 on board crashed shortly after takeoff from Tokyo en route to Hong Kong. Early reports said 11 crew and 11 passengers died, with 119 bodies recovered. UK operations said radio contact existed 30 minutes before, plane headed to the British China Coast. It was Japan's second major air crash in two days.

Tokyo Plane Crash Death Toll Hits Sixty Four

USDA official forecasts further CCC grain storage cuts

A top USDA regional official said additional reductions in elevator space for CCC grain stocks are likely as government grain sales continue.
