Parks Chief Reveals Private Fund for LBJ State Park
Will Qdom of the State Parks and Wildlife Commission disclosed a private fund to support the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park. As of last November 245 acres were condemned at 450 dollars per acre, with a minimum 110 250 dollars. only one plot of 18.37 acres has been purchased. Odom declined to identify donors or current fund totals, saying any surplus funds would be returned. The land will be deeded to the state for development and maintenance. The President had no objections to the project.
