Palestinians Claim Soviets Tipped Off Hussein Plot

Palestinian spokesmen say 120 armed men including 4 officers were arrested after a plot to topple King Hussein, allegedly tipped off by the KGB to Syrians and then to Jordanian authorities. Rights Resolution Introduced At OAS Meeting

First Transpolar Flight Honored by U S and Soviet Celebrations

In Moscow outskirts and Vancouver Washington celebrations marked the 4th anniversary of Chkalov’s transpolar flight. Spectators, a military guard, and a Soviet delegation recounted the 1937 voyage piloted by Valery Chkalov with co pilots Georgy Batdukov and Alexander Belynsky. The flight, 5200 miles over the Arctic, connected Moscow to Vancouver and Portland was the intended stop but a grass field landing occurred due to crowds.

Cities Service Gas Co seeks repeal of a Federal Power Commission order that would limit new natural gas connections in Kansas Missouri Oklahoma Nebraska and Texas. Wallace May Run For Senate Seat
