Two Friona Teens Drown in Lake Near Friona
Special to the Avalanche Journal reports two 16 year old Friona area youths drowned Wednesday in a 40 to 50 acre lake near town. One body recovered about 4 am. searchers continued for the other as rain filled shallow waters. Colene Marshall a 7 year old girl was swept 300 to 400 yards downstream in Buck Creek branch near Paducah during a flash flood.
