Argentine Tango Roots In Film Score By Leandro Barner

In Buenos Aires the tango’s evolution is tied to Leandro Barner, a jazz musician who composed the score for a film directed by Bernarda ertolucen. Barner says the tango theme isn’t a true tango until the end, while Buenos Aires residents favor radio over dance. The origin traces to waterfront bars in the 1400s, later spreading to Paris, with Argentines embracing it through film and Latin American jazz.
