In north Austin at a garage apartment three people were shot and killed. Victims were Mr and Mrs RE Armstrong and David Carpenter Armstrong's sister Mary Stover slept nearby and niece to Mrs Armstrong. An empty .38 pistol was found near Armstrong and an inquest was called by Justice of the Peace Tom Johnson.
