Oil Discovery Gauged In King County
An upper Strawn oil discovery by Taubert Steed Gunn & Medders near Guthrie, King County, yielded 24 barrels of 47 gravity oil in 24 hours from 5,224 to 5,249 feet with no water. Numerous other wells and exploratory tests are noted across Gaines, Midland, Crockett, Irion, Schleicher, Runnels, Reeves, Ector, Edwards, Nolan and Lea counties with varying perforation intervals and gas oil ratios.
