Two More Children Treated For Polio
In Plainview on July 13 the West Texas Polio center, newly opened, treated eight infantile paralysis cases with two admitted yesterday. Helen Dickenson, 5, from Monument New Mexico, was aided by an iron lung borrowed from Floydada fire department for respiratory difficulties. Tony L. Smith, 9, son of Mr and Mrs T L Smith of Pampa, was the other admission. only one case originated in the Plainview area.

Two Oil Workers Hurt In Well Blaze Near Kermit
Midland dispatch reports two oil well workers were burned five miles southeast of Kermit when motor sparks ignited gas during cleaning. The well continues burning. Henry Lee sustained severe burns and is in serious condition. his son John Lee is less seriously burned. Both are hospitalized in Kermit.
