Prague unrest over Russian troops echoed in Soviet press
A Soviet era newspaper charged counterrevolutionary forces are active in Czechoslovakia as Prague reports only about 35 percent of Soviet troops have left after maneuvers. Literaturnaya Gazeta linked a June Prague manifesto to anti Socialist forces and urged withdrawal. Foreign estimates put Warsaw Pact mobilization at 3 000 to 5 000 Russians remaining with other contingents gone.
