Coed slain in University of Colorado tower
Elaura Jeanne Jaquette a 20 year old junior in arts and sciences was found murdered in the main auditorium tower on the University of Colorado campus. Police described the death as a brutal sex attack and were seeking witnesses and blood stained clothing. Detectives pursued several persons of interest with no definite suspects at press time.

Two Garza men charged with murder in Lockney run down
Cavino Morales of Lockney died after being struck by a car on southeast 4th Street. Valentino Rodriguez Garza Jr and his father Valen tino Garza were charged with murder with malice aforethought.
