Kennedy in Italy on three day European tour

Five Die In Fiery Wreck Near Aurelia Iowa

Five farm youths on a Sunday trip to swim died when their car overturned on a rural road two miles south of Aurelia in Cherokee County. The victims included Sharon Joslin 17 driver Rodney Joslin M Dale Joslin 12 Cindy Joslin 7 and Kenneth Holtz 13 all members of one family. Officers said they were pinned in the wreckage and may have been killed before the car caught fire. Sheriff Carl Schleff reported no sign of speeding or a collision with another vehicle.

Eight Foot Snake Feared Loose in Lubbock Backyard

A boa constrictor eight to nine feet long was believed missing from a wire cage in the backyard of Anthony Granes at 4006 29th in Southwest Lubbock. Granes told police shortly before midnight Sunday that the pet was unaccounted for.

Silverton Fisherman Drowns After Boat Sinks

A Silverton man, Billy Joe Hale 29, drowned Friday night when a small boat began to flood as he fished with his brother Pete and two other companions.
